Paralegal

Sarah began her legal career in 2014, initially working in residential conveyancing at a firm in Worcester and began studying for her CILEx qualification in 2015. During her time working at law firms in Worcester, Sarah gained experience in different areas of law including family law and corporate and commercial law, but the majority of her experience was in residential conveyancing where she was a fee earner for several years.

In 2018, Sarah decided to take a career break to pursue her lifelong interest in the United States and began her MA in US History and Politics at University College London. Following graduation, after spending some time away from the law, she decided to resume her CILEx qualification and joined Russell and Co in 2023. Initially joining the Residential Conveyancing Team, Sarah recently decided to leave conveyancing after many years and has joined our Dispute Resolution Team, assisting Charlotte and Julie. When she qualifies, Sarah will be a CILEx Litigator and Advocate and hopes to go on to obtain her Higher Rights of Audience in due course.

Sarah has a strong sense of justice, feeling her skills were better suited to contentious legal work where she could help clients in need of assistance. Often complimented on the rapport she has with clients, Sarah has a good understanding of what a client needs, whether that be holding their hand through a difficult time or taking a more candid approach to ensure that client expectations are met, and desirable outcomes are achieved.
