Ruth has been riding horses since she was 4 years’ old, competing up the Pony Club levels all through her younger years with a particular passion for eventing. After a severe accident at 19, her eventing dreams halted and instead she started what was to be a very successful career in para-equestrian dressage.
Ruth has been part of the Sport England Talent Programmes and the ultimate UK Sport World Class Programme, competing both nationally and internationally with the benefit of sponsorships.
